Kate Schafer-Testerman

KT Literary

**Kate will not be doing individual pitch sessions at the conference. Instead she will be doing two, one-hour round tables with 10 people each time. This will be a time to ask her specific questions about what she is looking for, questions about the industry, how to get the attention of an agent, what goes into a good query...  She will probably also ask each person to briefly share about his/her book.**

Represents: Young Adult and Middle Grade fiction in all genres, including teen chick lit, urban fantasy and magical realism, adventure stories, and romantic comedies.

Kate Schafer Testerman formed kt literary in Colorado in early 2008, bringing to bear the experience of working with a large agency, and nearly four years on, she still enjoys concentrating on all aspects of working with her authors, offering hands-on experience, personal service, and a surfeit of optimism. Her clients include Maureen Johnson, Ellen Booraem, Stephanie Perkins, Carrie Harris, Thomas E. Sniegoski, Josie Bloss, and Matthew Cody, among many other great writers. Kate is a graduate of the University of Delaware’s Honors Program, a former cast member of the New York Renaissance Faire, and an avid collector of shoes. Nicole Resciniti
Literary Agent
The Seymour Agency
http://www.theseymouragency.com

Represents: Romance. Mainstream suspense, thrillers, mysteries, YA and inspirational novels are welcome. A consummate science geek and card-carrying Mensa member, Nicole would love to find the next great science fiction/fantasy novel or action/adventure masterpiece.

After a lifetime of battling an addiction to books, Nicole Resciniti admitted she had a problem. The signs had been there all along—tailoring her work schedule to accommodate reading, staying awake at night to finish a novel or sneaking spare moments to skim extra pages. Various jobs (sales, SAT tutoring, high school Marine Biology teacher) couldn’t offset the obsession. But how does one balance a love of books with the practicalities of a successful career? Mary Sue Seymour offered the answer: become a literary agent. Nicole is a member of AAR, ACFW, RWA, and Mensa. She holds degrees in biology, psychology, and behavioral neuroscience.
