With so many opportunities to meet agents and editors face-to-face at conferences, “The Pitch” has become an important skill to master. NCW member and agented author Joe Siple shares his understanding of how to perfect your pitch and move from rejected to represented. This two-hour class will focus on an essential element of the pitch--the one-page-overview--and deconstruct each element it should contain. As an experienced public speaker, Joe will also give easy-to-implement tips on how to overcome the inevitable nerves that many writers feel before and during a pitch session.
