Bees, evidence of possible alternate universes, the soon-to-be extinct northern white rhino, the fate of the planet and the complexities of love and desire occupy Kathleen Willard’s mind and all found their way into her poetry.
Kathleen Willard has been invited to share her poetry that speaks to the concerns of Constellations, an OpenStage’s immersive theatre production directed by Natalie Scarlett on Friday February 28th at 7:30 PM at the Fort Collins Museum of Discovery Otterbox Digital Dome Theatre.Playing at The Fort Collins Museum of Discovery (408 Mason Ct) February 28 – March 21. Nick Payne’s Constellations is a play about free will and friendship; it’s also about Quantum Multiverse Theory, love, and honey. Starring Keegan Bockhorst as Roland and Ariel Greenspoon as Marianne, this play is sure to keep you thinking even after the final bows.
A physicist and a beekeeper meet at a party. They hit it off and go for a drink. Or perhaps they don’t. Perhaps she is engaged to someone else, perhaps he is. Maybe she breaks his heart, maybe he breaks hers. Even in quantum parallel universes, in which every possibility exists, love stings like a bee. Time, it turns out, is a more effective breaker of hearts than human beings. Written in the stars, Constellations is an immersive multimedia banquet presented in the OtterBox Digital Dome Theater in collaboration with the Museum of Discovery.
Constellations is presented as a part of OpenStage’s etcetera Season. Raw, real, honest and intimate cutting-edge theatre in non-traditional spaces. With the actors only a few feet away, audience members are drawn deeply into the action of the play, creating a powerful and unforgettable experience. Be prepared for a moving, intimate experience that will leave you thinking and feeling long after the lights come up.
