As writers of fiction, we have to make a lot of decisions. One of the things that can make or break a story is how it is being told. Deciding on Point of View can feel perilous because no matter how well we think we know it, we stumble. Choosing a POV can feel like an obstacle course: Head-hopping. Keeping the verb tense consistent. Weak voices. Just like witness statements in a crime can throw off the facts, mistakes in POV can throw off a story and demoralize a reader.
